'Colour Blind' Collection

Some songs are green. Some are red. Some are unmistakably, unarguably purple — and one is pretty fly for a white guy.

Colour Blind is Dotty Cotton's most single-minded collection. Nine colours. Thirty-six music references. Zero colours named. Each design takes four iconic musical references built around the same colour and removes the colour completely — replacing it with a block that's exactly the right size, exactly the right shade, and says everything without saying anything at all.

we started with the blank...

Most clothing brands start with a design. We started with the fabric.

Specifically, the Stanley/Stella Creator 2.0 — 180gsm organic cotton, GOTS certified, structured silhouette, the blank that serious clothing brands reach for when they want something that lasts.

Everything else followed from there: Kornit DTG printing, colours that hold wash after wash, designs that deserve a canvas worthy of them. We're dotty about what our tees are made of. That's not just a marketing line; it's why we exist.

The Striped Circle connection

Dotty Cotton was created by the team behind Striped Circle Printworks.

A sister brand with the same values, same obsession with quality and, of course, the same ridiculous sense of humour.

For years, customers at Striped Circle asked us the same question: "Do you do this on a t-shirt?"

Our answer, for a long time, was no. Not because we didn't want to - but because we weren't prepared to put our name on something ordinary.

When you're obsessive about print quality, you notice very quickly that most graphic apparel is built to a price, not to a standard. Thin cotton, colours that fade, a fit that looks fine on the hanger and questionable on an actual human body.

We'd spent years getting Striped Circle's print quality right. We weren't about to undo that reputation with a mediocre tee.

So we waited until we could do it properly.
