Refund policy

We want you to love your Dotty Cotton t-shirt. If for any reason you don't, here's what happens next.

Your right to return
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to return any unworn, unwashed item in its original condition within 14 days of receiving your order, for any reason. No questions asked.

Because every Dotty Cotton t-shirt is prepared for you, we ask that you check our size guide carefully before ordering — but we understand that sizing doesn't always work out, and we'll always make it right.

How to return
1. Email us at returns@dottycotton.com within 14 days of receiving your order, with your order number and reason for return.
2. We'll respond within 1 business day with your returns authorisation and the returns address.
3. Pack the item securely and send it back to us. We recommend using a tracked service — we can't accept responsibility for items lost in return transit.
4. Once we receive and inspect the item, we'll process your refund within 5 business days. Refunds are issued to your original payment method.

Return postage
Return postage is at your cost unless the item is faulty or incorrectly sent. If your item is faulty or wrong, we'll cover the return postage and send you a replacement or full refund — your choice.

Items we can't accept back
- Items that have been worn, washed or altered
- Items returned without prior authorisation
- Items returned more than 14 days after delivery

Faulty or incorrect items
If your t-shirt arrives faulty, damaged, or isn't what you ordered, please email us at returns@dottycotton.com with your order number and a photo of the issue within 14 days. We'll sort it immediately — no faff, no arguing, no sending you in circles. That's not what we're about.

Can I exchange for a different size?
We don't offer direct exchanges — the simplest process is to return your original item for a refund and place a new order for the correct size. This is usually the fastest way to get the right shirt to you.

What about gifts?
If your Dotty Cotton t-shirt was a gift, the recipient can return it within 14 days of the original delivery date. Please ask the gift giver to contact us with the original order number, or email us directly at returns@dottycotton.com and we'll do our best to help.
